Uk engine in an import

Hi, currently looking to swap a rev 3 into my rev 2 import. However i have many offers of uk engines, how bad is it to swap a uk into import? any experiences?

The tougher part will be the later revision into an earlier car. It may give wiring problems but there are plenty of us here to help (just not me sorry lol). Physically it'll bolt up exactly the same into the bay, I think the exhaust mid-pipe is the same. gearbox clutch etc are identical so no issues there.

As I say - I think the issue will be the wiring - but even that will only be a few wires. You will need the full monty - ECU, coil, igniter etc. If you're looking to keep the A/C you'll want to find an import rev3 as well.
