Berk Exhaust System

Post by jacktempleman » 02/10/17 20:30

Hi is anyone currently running a Berk Exhaust System? I would really like to hear one before I buy.

I have heard they are the best for, performance and being quite. I would ideally like an exhaust that doesn't drone when cruising on the motorway or dual carriage way.

I found this video

does anyone know the person in the video, are they on the forum?

I would love to speak to someone who has lived with this exhaust or know of an alternative (perhaps Custom).

I love mine, but I wouldn't call it quiet... it's not uber loud, but it doesn't whisper either.

Alas my turbo is off the road, or I'd happily take you out in it. It would probably help if you told us where you are in the country though, ideally by adding it to your profile, cos there's no point a helpful Scot offering you a ride if you're in Cornwall ;)

The dude in the video is on here but can't remember his username. He's just bought his old car back after 10 years or something and it's a tad rusty. Think it's in the project section?

I love my Berk too. Best all rounder IMO... Doesn't drone at all but makes the right noises when you want it too

Hi Jack

That’s me in the video.

The Berk has been on a few months now and am still delighted with it.

It sounds great, looks beefy over stock and you can hear yourself think in the car at any speed.

Have set off a couple of car alarms locally under cold start lol.

I got mine from Tarmac motor sportz in Derby. £750.

I’ll be having one fitted to my most recent purchase when the time comes.

Hope that helps.

Matt

Yeah, I set off alarms with mine... it's generally a constant RPM that does it, so it normally happens when I'm already trying to creep around.

I've had one on my rev3 for the last three years and agree with Mark its not a quiet exhaust by any stretch of the imagination. When I get home the front door has already been opened for me as someone has heard me on the way back in :laughing

That being said I love mine, I think it looks and sounds great. Not too quiet or loud. It's not what I would call quiet on motorways imo however it doesn't drone like my mongoose used to for example. If your ever Surrey way you'd be more than welcome to a passenger ride.

Got my Berk fitted a few weeks ago. So far I've had a dep2 std and the japspeed.

I do a fair amount of long distance motorway trips. The Berk is similar to the dep2 and does not drone. It sound lovely with the foot down and people do not hear me arriving a few streets away.

Hi, I managed to purchase it from a forum member. They are rare over here. I believe they can still be bought from Berk but that it is an import.

Yes. As G MR2 Turbo said, they can be obtained new from Tarmac Sportz.
They are an authorised Berk dealer.

Otherwise you'll be waiting on someone selling one s/h.
