Re: Subframe Captive Nut

I had a similar problem and managed to slide the stick welder in and weld the captive nut back on. If all else fails i have a spare very clean rev1 subframe.

Re: Mk2 Rev4 Power Loss - where do I start?!

Check the above but i would say you have a exhaust leak before the lambda sensor if it got louder as the fault started. The down pipe can be hard to see if its still got the original heat shields though. check for blowing at joints or cracks in the pipe.

Photos of the car will help give an idea of condition and value. From the info 4k+ sounds about right.

If you want it properly clean then hours spent with a Dremel worked for me.

I think that was me, I cut mine open and replaced the broken stud. Required a welder though.

Re: Fog light fix

I welded new nuts onto the back of the bumper bar and made plates to reinforce the light brackets, although they weren't as mangled as yours. Then stainless bolts with Alan key heads. http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1wwmAX-i8BEsAfcmhD227OyRaRUy2qac6Tg http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view...

I have just stuck mine back with Tiger seal PU adhesive.
