Knowledge Base - How To:- Refurbish the Rear Brake Calipers ( Addendum )

Just to add that one of the extra seals in the previous article on this subject should be installed below the hand brake spring. Its the seal with the metal insert. To gain access you need to remove the spring and than undo the 18mm bolt situated in the centre of the spring. Next up you need to remove the metal connecting arm. I had to resort to hammering it off, but its very robust and took the beating with no damage done...

The fitment of the seal is the same as the seal for the sliders (as described in previous article). This seal was gone on my caliper so its worth replacing. Many thanks for the original article the information was very useful.
