Hi All,
We made it to Davos all together and no real dramas (or car trouble - touchwood). Just thought we'd let you know we're all safe
France was extremely easy for the majority, one slow point which crawled along at 40mph for about 20 mins but other than that was fantastic. About €80 in tolls. Anyone planning on doing this sort of thing with friends .... take walkie talkies - they do pass the time and allow you to have a llttle fun .... though i feel some people were losing the plot toward the end (.... isn't that right Noreen!!)
Paid our €€40 fow swiss motorway tax and that's when the rain and slow driving started. The motorways are not the best and we were aquaplaning a fair amount. Made it to the hotel after a pretty hairy dark mountain drive at 9:40pm
All in all, 10 hrs driving plus 90 mins of stops. A long day but a very enjoyable one
Speak soon
Dan

All home safe and sound - expect some large posts and pics up very soon
Tired and a little flat. But would have gladly turned the car around and gone again. We're all safe - without major incident or accident. Will let you all know soon...

Just recovering from a fantastic experience , this certainly was hard core driving, rain, snow, & 34C of sun.
It was all made even better by being with great people and Pimms & persil.
Started going through the 800 photos and will hopefully get some of them loaded up later today along with Kermits new friend (green ducky) & Badgers swiss red ducky.
Only just got phone & internet line back just now owing to gypsy stealing the copper telephone lines in our area on Friday!
A brilliant way for 4 cars to burn 1 ton of fuel in 5 days, and how amazing it was that 4 totally different cars ended up with similar fuel consumption.
WE really would like to say a special thanks to Dan & Jesjess for planning and taking the lead, which must have been stressful at times.
Nornor is already planning 2012. Suggestion for 2012 is that we all take a day inturn leading.
