Where are people meeting up just out of interest I'll be heading along the a14

The usual meeting point for those approaching Silverstone from the north is Northampton services at Rothersthorpe, but you would need to ask the West Midlands crew if they will stop by there. Too far north for us lot.

The midlanders are meeting Warwick services on the M40 so wrong side of the M1 to the A14 unfortunately

First part of the journey done, at Hopwood services

1st time round a track other than WRA.
Great day and the weather was kind.
started to improve what I was doing with lines and breaking point so happy.
Not happy that I pushed it too much on Luffield (actually brooklands now I have looked on the map again), Spun the 2 taking out one of the inner marking bollards.
After the spin


It will T cut out
And hey presto it did 5 mins work at home

Things I learned today; my second taster day.

1: Japspeed Decat on a NA will get you a noise warning
2: Pete is a handy guy to have around in a fix... thanks for the bungs mate
3: If there's a chance it will rain... it will rain. So do as Pete says replace the glass roof before nipping out to lunch

4: Don't know if it's the car or the Toyo T1R's... but the combination with a wet track this afternoon was not a happy one. Went off backwards through Brooklands. Was fishtailing on strights And it was just generally a lot harder and a lot more concentration required. Was eventually glad to see the chequered flag.

5: Gotta do it again next spring - just SO much fun. Once again, thanks Jay.

Fantastic time on track today!! I paid £35 and bagged an instructor for the sesson, worth every penny as I learned a lot about my car.

Great to meet you all, thanks to Jay for organising a great event. Definitely would do this again!
