Well done Jay on your top quality organisational skills, definitely enjoyed myself on this one... might be tempted again next year if another one gets organised...

Great to meet everyone too :th:

Many thanks again for organising this Jay! Did a superb job again. Good to meet some new people aswell as see some familiar faces again. Great to see people's machinery and what they've done to them.

Enjoyed putting the car to the limit once again in a great weather gap, really lucked in there.

I also managed to tighten up all these supposedly brilliant aftermarket strut braces when I got home, so they now actually do what they're meant to, now that I don't need them so much. Not that it stopped me from overtaking ;)

Oh btw, whens the next one? :D

I'm starting to suspect he doesn't really have one :P

srsly though, hope the car's ok and you can make it to the next one!

Cheers to Jay for organising this again, and everyone else for being good sports and courteous drivers, especially around someone who *still* uses 14" wheels and wonders why he has no grip in the corners XD

Removed a few pipes this morning to check the turbo and its def that thats gone  I'll take it off the car later to assess the damage

Bugger, sorry to hear that Vinny, is it a refurb job or new?

If its any consolation I got home last night and nearly threw mine in the bin, frustrating drive home lol.

I'm certain my problems are down to the knock or O2 sensors or both, but right now I can't be bothered to think about it! :D

Winter's here, plenty of time to sort these cars out at least...

Hopefully... although I did hear a new knocking sound on idle, so in the back of my mind I wonder if the engine has finally had it? (And I certainly won't be paying for a rebuild or replacement!)

Guff! Sorry to hear that Vinny... I hope I've not shared the curse of Wibble with you, because this year has been a dire year for my car

Hate to hear about casualties from these sessions  I suppose we do have the oldest cars there.

Anyhow, not planning another until next year now. Plenty of time to iron out those Gremlins :th:

Good to see you all though :th: Learnt a colossal amount about the mk3. Very surprising and capable little car :th:

That's the risk of track time... you work the car much harder than you ever would on the road. Of course I have trouble getting to the track, but that's another story :laughing

As a very wise someone said to me yesterday (who now happens to have a busted turbo) "it's what happens when you own modified cars".

These cars are never finished, breaking them just gives us an excuse to fix them :D

14" wheels are lighter!!! Think of it that way! When someone next mocks you on road......give them some waste gate!!!!;)
