http://www.rwyb.co.uk/rules.php

A full valid recognised driving licence or MSA/ACU licence is required to sign-on. (As from the 8th June 2015 you will no longer be able to sign on using the paper counterpart of the photocard driving licence due to the DVLA aboloshing this document. Paper driving licences issued before the photocard in 1998 and the photocard itself remain valid.)

Before you go on to the track you need to visit the signing on office to sign a declaration form and pay your signing on fee.

Any nitro vehicles must give us at least 3 days notice if they wish to run at a RWYB.

The venue carries a zero tolerance policy on using vehicles under the influence of drugs or alcohol, this applies for anyone taking passenger rides on the dragstrip too.

The driver/rider must not be suffering from any medical condition, that may affect their ability to drive safely. The participant must not be pregnant or have had major surgery in the last 3 months.

Re-fuelling in the staging lanes in strictly prohibited. When refuelling in the pits please ensure you do so safely.

If any participant has a problem on the dragstrip and/or thinks there is possibly a fluid leak, they must stop as soon possible, at the side of the track (next to the wall). A marshal will attend to check the vehicle and assist in removing from the track if required. The same applies if a participant comes into contact with the wall, loses control or spins.

Please note that if you and your vehicle have taken part in MSA/ACU competition, the safety rules and equipment required at a RWYB is the same as any MSA/ACU race event. Participants can now sign on with their relevant MSA/ACU licences.

The track manager retains the right to refuse track access to any vehicle they deem to be unsafe.
Cars

A safety helmet that is fit for purpose is compulsory for ALL competitors. Exceptions to this rule are street cars running under 110mph. Helmets are compulsory in all open top vehicles regardless of speed.

A neck brace is recommended for ALL competitors using a helmet.

The driver/rider must declare that their vehicle is safe and complies with the necessary rules and regulations. All vehicles taking part must be fit for purpose.

It is recommended that there is a secondary braking system for all vehicles travelling faster than 150mph, this can be a parachute or mechanical braking system in addition to a hydraulic system.

It is highly recommended that all fuel systems and tanks are separated from the driver. There should be at least a bulkhead between the driver and the fuel lines and tank, if this is not possible it is highly recommended that a fire suit and helmet is worn regardless of speed.
Roll cages and harnesses are strongly recommended for all vehicles running quicker than 12 seconds over a quarter mile.

Please note: if you need to install a cage, please consult a specialist or the National Drag Racing rulebook to ensure it is fitted safely and correctly (see RWYB website for details).
The use of space saver tyres is strictly prohibited.

Seat belts are mandatory.

It sounds basic but it is mandatory that you have all of your wheel nuts on your wheels! Your car has been designed with 4 or 5 nuts for a reason and there is certainly no performance gain achieved by running with less so don’t try it or you will be turned away!

Arm Restraints are mandatory for all open top and windowless vehicles. Would that include a T Top?

Suitable fire suits are mandatory for vehicles running on methanol or nitro and highly recommended for vehicles with nitrous systems.

Windows must be fully up when on the dragstrip.

New Apexi filter fitted (I buggered it up at the weekend), Coolant flushed for the 4th time and now running a flushing agent, Leaky valve on passenger side front fixed and should be good to go. No turbo swap yet though so if you think the jet car is running due to the smoke, it's me :laughing

Yay! A PIC of my motor!

Home now. Left about half 3. As we got there at 12pm the track was shut and didn't reopen till half 2 so as we were leaving about half 3 and due to the queues I decided not to pay for going on track.
Fortunately there was a good turnout of cars so was wandering round these most of the days.
Managed to meet jimgts and dawesy for 5 mins while they were in the queue. Also got vids of their runs which I will post up with pics later.
Unfortunately didn't meet anyone else as was out and about rest of the day.

Good day for my cousin and I though.

nice to see you mark.

shame we didn't chat for long, i was trying to refit one of my fans which was being a pain at the time, namely it fell off!!
shame you didn't get to run, though to be honest, you saved yourself £30!

had mixed feelings on the day, great to see some mr2s again, but the queueing was just a joke!
sometimes 2 hours between runs!!
i wasn't quite getting off the line like i was last time, but i did get in 2 runs i was certain were in the 12s.
unfortunately only 1 of them was recorded, but i did beat my PB by a tiny amount on my last run of the day!
just a shame no recording of the other run which i felt was just as good.

anyhow new PB

12.82 at 109mph.

I thought all 3 mr2s I saw ran was quick especially compared to some of the other cars there.
Great to see the mr2 runs.

I said to my cousin I wasn't going to leave until I at least saw all 3 in the queue run. Lol.

There was a mk1 blue escort that done 9 secs. My fav of the day.

Also saw a robin reliant with cosworth engine though didn't see that on the strip.
The USA Car display was awesome too.

All together I had a great day. Plenty to see for the £12 admission. I was umming and aahing bout running with less than quarter of a tank too lol.

I only went through an 1/8 of a tank with all that queueing and 6 runs.
You would have been fine.

Yeh I did a couple of 13.0s as well. A 13.2 with a slightly 3rd gear miss shift and a 13.5 which I got a terrible launch from!!

Not sure what run you recorded of mine, but is cool to see.

Shame only edit 6 mr2s in the end.

Still was a fun day, but I'm sure a bloody long one for lee! No idea when he got home :-/.

I think Lee got home at 2am Jim!

Good day out, burnt a little bit, but good to see some interesting cars go up the strip, when it wasn't closed!

Sorry to miss you Mark, I just parked up and enjoyed the day chatting with the others, didn't feel too comfortable running mine tbh, I've a few niggles i'd like to sort out (namely a new turbo) and the boost controller has had a little blip that needs sorting, although might be down to a minor split on the intake hose too. Oh and then there is the coolant thing...

Congrats on the new PB's though, think we should organise another when it's not quite so busy! Maybe earlier or later on in the year.

Good to catch up again folks :th:

New PB for me 12.03@119. So close to the 11's but don't think it was the day for it.
Was going to stop but thought 'nah one more, it's getting cooler and the right hand lane actually looks quicker(" (I'd been in the left all day)
Wish I hadn't now

New CV required.
12's all day though and maybe another half second off my 60' to go.
