Yep. Tower.

My back roads route last year went nowhere near Morrisons. :)

What do others think about a 06.00 rather than 06.30 departure from Chieveley services?

If you're not living life on the edge, you're taking up too much room!

IIRC you drove straight past us at Chieveley last year :cheeky: (Or was that the year before?)

But anyway, looking at the club map I expect attendance will be down compared to JapFest last year and our journey into the stand seemed pretty smooth then. I don't see that convoying even earlier is really going to be worth it.

Edit: Checking last year's JapFest threads, we actually aimed to leave Newbury at 6am; in reality it was nearly 7am by the time we left and we didn't have any big issues getting through the gates :th:

Definitely not last year.

Not sure what you base that assessment of numbers on but no matter.

06.30 then. It's on your head though if it backfires! :cheeky:

I was looking at the club stand map: http://www.japday.co.uk/assets/Uploads/ ... UB-MAP.pdf

There's a huge swathe of unused space to the east of Q2, compared to Japfest last year. Hence my thinking.

I'm only sharing my opinion; if I'm not in the majority then that's fine. I just remember getting to Newbury very early and then hanging around there a looooong time and still not having issues getting into the circuit. I could be getting two different years confused though, they kind-of blend into one!

The badminton trials were on last week so there will be no traffic for that either.
