You're mistaking driving style for lack of talent. Even my daughter said I was rubbish. I thought you could all do with a laugh anyway.

Thanks for the offer of V6 help, but I don't have the facilities to do it myself. I'm talking to Patrick (headcase) about doing it later this year after he's fixed my brakes, which were seeming a little unenthusiastic.

Mark, you appear at about 1:50 in the first one and just the once.
Two lessons learnt. Dropping your tyres a couple of psi is not enough. An N/A is ok for Brands but not for Castle Combe. Next mod V6!
Just from watching other peoples vids (cos I wouldn't risk my 2 on track) Tyre pressures (squeeling) and in my opinion you don't use your gearbox enough ! watch a vid of gazza dj But well done for having a go and risking your car :clapping:

Fair points indeed. I think I was better at this slightly moist Brands day last year, and I think my overtake of the green car is special. I.e I didn't wave...

I bought my 2 for track days so if you fancy a trip round Brands give me a yell. I'll let you drive. :yahoo:

Brands hatch looks a great track. As I said, never been.

However it does seem a lot narrower with less room for over taking.

I'm guessing you been there a fair few times as you seem more relaxed and know the corners.

Love to, but my clock doesn't do a 6:30 start!

Brands GP is brilliant, but ridiculously expensive (£495 for an open pit lane day, £325 for a sessions day!). The indy circuit is cheaper but it's tedious. Like being on the M25. Brands is a bit narrow but you don't get so many slow bugger like me on it these days. That's why I decided to try Castle Combe. I'm having a go at some more outlying (for me) tracks. Cadwell is arguably better than Brands GP. It's certainly cheaper, so that's a must do. A four hour trip each way though...

Brands is less than 15 minutes from my front door. :th:

I much prefer circuits with elevation changes. Cadwell is my favourite track.
If you think Brands is narrow though...! :laughing

The reason is Cadwell started out a a bike track (back in 1934) and has stayed true to its roots.
It has the most spectacular section of any UK circuit imo: the Mountain. Especially on a bike. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zF9RcKWhwww

It's a very tricky to get right in a car. If you don't it will kill your lap time. If/when you do it's brilliant.

Not for me. My sister lives 30 minutes away. :yahoo:
If you're not living life on the edge, you're taking up too much room!
