JDMCombe 10th June - convoy

I'm thinking it would be good to meet up beforehand and convoy in.
In previous years it has been M4 Chieveley Services for those from the South East.
However that may be no use for those coming from further west.
I'm thinking of a second RV point at Lydiard Fields, Swindon (just off J16).

So who is going to join and where? :)

Provisional timings.
Leave Chieveley at 06.30
Arrive Lydiard Fields 07.00
Depart Lydiard Fields 07.30
Arrive Combe 08.00

Better to build in some slack rather than a mad dash. :)

Yep i will be up for that.
Need to be there early as my first track session is 10.15am and would need to do the booking in and db test beforehand.

The Chieveley mob to head for Lydiard Fields
Combine forces there then off to Combe via the back roads from J17 (as in 2015 & 2016).

Chieveley to Lydiard Fields takes ~30 minutes
Lydiard Fields to Combe, ditto

I have updated the first post with suggested timings.

From what I can remember the photographer/s lurk along the road from Chippenham.
i.e. the Green (Quarry and Yellow (Chippenham) gates.

For the previous two years we have used the Orange (Tower) gate.
Both times we have arrived from the BristoI direction and I don't recall seeing any lensmen.
As we are going in via the Purple (Camp) entrance we'll be using the same route again.

No problem. We're not leaving Swindon until 07.30 so you should be OK.

Lydiard fields has a costa coffee ,news agents and greggs as well as a subway so its well catered for. Costa will defintely be open as its 24hrs but not sure bout the others. Im picking my dad up at 7 and we are literally a mile away so will be there not long after.
Also note: id advise to park in the costa/greggs side as all the other car parks are to be paid for and are quite strict though not sure at that time of the morning.
If for some reason its packed (from other meets and its not very big) then theres a bigger car park outside the hungry horse place next to it though id keep an eye out for wardens.
