Within 34 seconds of searching Google:

Changing from stock to an aftermarket exhaust may affect your settings, but not changing between aftermarket exhausts.

Share your avc-r settings?

Post by teamshocknick »

can someone help me?

Rev 3

I just tried to set this up to hit 1 bar.

I lowered duty to 20% (thats the lowest it will go) and 0.7 bar boost but the car is still hitting 1.16 bar. what am i doing wrong?

When i first tried it it was hitting 1.22 bar but the settings were 1.0 bar and 75% duty.

I want to run 1.0 bar and hold it and set up setting to hit and hold 1.2

help? whys it going over what i put? should i lower the 0.7 bar and 20% duty to like 0.5 and 20% or something?

It's all down to the gain and start duty mate, lower the gain the less you will over boost plus make sure your start duty is set to zero.

What boost do you hit when the avcr is set to 'off'?

PM me your email Nick so i can send you the manual pdf

I'm sorta in the same boat as you and its all about the duty

the higher the duty is the faster the boost gets you your target, and if its overboosting its obviously going to get there and go over much quicker

My A setting is my normal driving setting. The Duty is set to 31, i also set the duty to 25 once it get to 6k rpm to help stop overboosting

These are my experiments, others may find other methods work

Sorry duty and gain are the same thing.

Start duty controls duty in each gear and can be found in the main menu.

Is this just a boost controller? what about the extra fuelling needed?

Yes, it's just a boost controller. Fuelling on the stock ECU is good enough for certain boost levels. Aftermarket ECUs or mapping are needed for higher boosts (above 1.0bar really) and bigger injectors are normally required for Rev1 and 2 tubbies.

So to do it properly you need a boost controller and standalone management or just one of those apexi FC's as they are standalone and you can change the boost.
The best thing to do must be standalone with 2 different boost maps mapped by a dyno, with a switch on the dash to change from each map and just leave it.

What boost are you looking to run?

Indeed a Power FC is a recommended stand alone setup with dyno mapping to get the fuelling accurate.

Well TBH i'm just investigating the best way to do things first, I heard a rev 3 to be reliable about 1.2BAR is the highest you can go, without over doing the HG or turbo.
Would 1.2BAR be about 280bhp ish?
