oh yes mate deffo the best colour by far, in fact we have 2 the same colour, my next guide may well be the V6 from N/A as its in the pipeline.

BTW thanks for all the recent comments it really make it feel like it was worth doing so a massive thanks.

Awesome write up mate, followed it doing a rev1 -> rev 5 and was a peice of cake and thoroughly enjoyable. Havent done anything like this since uni and did 99% of it myself (my mates dont really know cars at all) just needed a bit of help lining up the engine mounts on the re-fit.

V6 write up will be fantastic, I look forward to it.

Mike - don't be a mincer - put a turbo in it. You will only have to do another engine change if you don't!

As others have said, great thread!

I am going to collect my car this afternoon and the first thing on the agenda is to get the engine out.

Is it possible to remove the engine from the top and leave the gearbox in place or do the two have to come out together? And do they have to come out from the underneath?

I'd just rather use a crane and pull the engine out and leave eveythig else alone if I can.
