JAE 2011 Tug of War, need some smaller guys

So thats 8 guys, a full team. Should be a good one aswell.

Meeting for this will be first thing Saturday morning in the club marque, well no to early, will have a hangover in full swing.

Please bring with you;

Boots, hard soled, yes Jay steelys will be fine.

Shorts, you dont want restricted movement.

A rugby shirt or similar long sleeve shirt, rope burns on the arms arnt fun.


Any more people want to join please sign up, I need to check to see if theres a wieght limit, so may need some less masive guys.

I'll probably be arriving very late afternoon.

Also, not being a sporty person, I don't have anything along the lines of a rugby shirt so if someone had a spare one I could borrow that would be cool. Looks like I'm the smallest guy who's signed up, so shouldn't have a problem with it fitting. If not, what's a little rope burn amongst friends

Some general rules for the JAE events and activities
All participants must have a full JAE entry, no day visitors can participate
If you turn up late you may forfeit your right to participate, we have a lot to get through so please try and work with us
Relay race must have one (genuine) female participant at least per team
There are two weight categories for Tug o War, both score equal points and you can enter the same people in different weights
If you enter more than one team per competition the teams must be completely different, we cannot have one person in more than one team
All competition entrants must be from a regsitered club with a club stand

All events count points towards the IKO overall trophy
In all matters the referees' decisions are final and no appeals allowed
Unsporting behaviour will result in you being eliminated from the event, but general horseplay and good banter should be encouraged!
Enjoy the events and have fun (is that a rule?)

Right guys, you get there when you get there. Just please dont hang about.

Please when you get there and have parked up come to the markee, ill have a rope out ready to take you thro it.

I dont know why JAE have done this on a friday, it was Saturday last year and all others have been on Sunday.

I will speak to the organisers on the day and try to delay if I can??

Also there has been a wieght limit introduced like last year. There will be 2 wieght classes;

A catch wieght team (no wieght limit) thats the team on page 1.

A 640kg team, I need smaller guys to take part in this with some of the bigger guys from the catch wieght team.

Lets hope they dont start the party without us.

Gaz, just re-read the rules. You can't have one person pulling in both teams

We need 2 completely different crews for each event.

I'll be there early Friday morning so will definitely be there for the start of the event
