Nowhere near Martin's spectacular detour after Grantown on Spey. ;)
Bob & Ann waited nearly half an hour for him to reappear.

I can see the advantages of the rear gunner being able to communicate with whoever is leading. Other than that I'm still not convinced that everyone needs one tbh.

Yeah, next thing you'll be telling people my toolkit includes
- A cross
- Holy water
- A stake
- Several cloves of garlic

I'm an indigenous Australian. My tracking skills will find you no matter how hard you try to lose me.

Tony we are not saying everyone should have one, it just makes it easier to communicate to the group any problems, diversions, or breakdowns that might happen, and of course you can partake in the banter :-)

Will anyone be taking octane booster on the trip? If so what one and how much is it? Was thinking buying in bulk may save money.

I think folks have taken it in the past but havent needed it. If Peter can do a days run at 19 miles per gallon, I'm sure you'll be ok Glen :laughing

Sorry to disagree, you will need it up north as the garage in Ullapool does not sell super unleaded, as I no longer have the Turbo (rest in piece) you are welcome to the 2 bottles of octane booster I have left which should be enough to do the whole weekend.

Ill buy the 2 bottles you've got, gives you money towards your fuel. I just want to be careful so thought the octane booster may be a good idea,I'm not sure if the car is mapped for v power, plus ill probably be running at 1.1bar for a bit of fun rather then the lower setting I usually use.

For those of us who don't end up with a wallow talkie I can bring along a long roll of string and some paper cups to keep in contact :laughing
