Nope but the my ps pump seems to be playing up, I've had to replace a front shock due to damage from some moron, and I need to replace the front spring topseats because they're disintegrating. I really could do with a break, I must have had way too much in a former life, was I Vlad the Impaler or what?

MK3's can't be made very well, I'm still on the originals at 140K.

They're BC coilovers and been on about 60K so considering our climate it's not too bad. I have a pair for £30 and it's a 30 min job with the tools and jack. ps pump is the pita, luckily I have a spare... Somewhere.

I've been at the fuel pump most of the day in preparation for this as I've had my doubts on the old one

Well done Glen. You'll probably find the costume harder to sort than the car :laughing

Well that's the spring top seats replaced in half an hour, and the power steering pump took 15 minutes and moat of that was moving stuff out of the way. Just got to test it all now.

AFAIK shinny and I were the first adopters of BCs.
Not sure why yours should be disintegrating.
Mine have been on two different Mk2s with no issues at all.

That's the car mapped,it's running approx 325 at the fly at 1.15 bar. There wasn't any point in mapping for more power I don't think, that's loads on standard internals. Just having the geometry done and then I'll have a nice drive home from dalgety bay to test the car :D

My problem is the car lives outside 100% and I live on the edge of a high corrosion area. They have actually done about 70K miles and been on 4ish years. I got a special price on the replacements of £30 for both and they're kept in stock. That's one of the things I love about BC's, when you need spares they're no hassle and usually on the shelf.

Unfortunately the car will not be mapped for this trip but otherwise it's running great. New tyres are pretty much scrubbed in too :-D

I did take it easy on the way back, turns out the inner tie rods need replaced now aswell. I've replaced everything to get this geometry done! When I sell the car later this year someone will get a good buy!
