Re: JAE 2018
Basically, Dave and I spotted this on FB and both messaged each other at the same time telling the other that the event was cancelled. Given the conditions Friday, I was very glad indeed. As yet, we have heard nothing from the JAE.. As yet, I have not received a single email or newsletter. I have to say, I am a little concerned with the organisation (from the JAE end) this year thus far.
I'll give it the week, then I'll drop Nigel an email.

Re: JAE 2018
It is certainly the plan for the club to be there. Given Rach and I and our new arrival will still be very early days, we will not be able to be there for all of the show. But will probably pop up for a day or something.. I have yet to organise anything JAE related because JAE are yet to organise anything JAE related.

Re: JAE 2018
Word on FB is that Thursday is available as a limited 'supplement ticket', no power etc will be available, and it's an extra £5 for the privilege.
If that is indeed the case (apparently reps have been sent all info), then I think I'm out this year.

Re: JAE 2018
Think depending on how the new management deal with things we may be better organising something for the club like a camping weekend somewhere.
When I was on the Toyota Owners Club we did that for the year when JAE went to mersea.
Worked out really good. The site we went to had static caravans for those who don’t like camping too.

Re: JAE 2018
So another cost to up the price up on a show that we don't really bother looking around imo just use it to meet up with you guys and a few from the other clubs we have met over the years.
In comparsion to other weekend show like jap v German where the cost is less and the environment is better I am getting more inclined to not bother this year for JAE personal. Anyone else?

Re: JAE 2018
I've received nothing from JAE.
It's my work email address I signed up with too - so it's not like I miss anything.
Checked my Junk folder and nothing. I'll message Nigel see what he says.
I'm not averted to a club camping holiday if we can choose a venue with some nice roads around et al (somewhere central). Especially if there's statics as it'd be better for Rach and I with the little'un.
Let's see what is said first.

Re: JAE 2018
Wow... has anyone looked at the size of the show area.... about a 1/3 of what it was last year.

Re: JAE 2018
it almost feels like the organisers have had enough and want it to fail / fold.

Seems Nigel isn't directly responsible for that stuff, I'll tag you on FB in the comment chaind-peg wrote: ↑08/03/18 9:48 I've received nothing from JAE.
