Breaking down is the least of your worries. Definitely avoid autoroutes. There is much evidence on PH that 'les flics' are now taking an increasingly zero tolerance attitude to Brits exceeding limits. Getting frog marched to the cashpoint or having you car impounded will put a definite dampener on the proceedings.

The best run I have ever done, fantastic roads and scenery.

To be fair to anyone that has not done it before, it is not a cheap holiday, days are long.

With the best will in the world, we are not going to make this. Looks like we're doing a big family holiday to Lake Garda, driving down there .... which obviously means I'm taking the boat :D

I would be up for this costs don't seem to bad just need dates really and to see if I can afford to have the time off but sounds awesome can't be sure if the car will make it as its just started making a strange noise not sure what it is
