Preference for me on dates would be to take some of the winter blues away. So End of Feb, March time :) (nothing really goes on around then).

I assume you mean the live game at the Millennium or are you off to Paris or Rome?

I was aware there would be other providers but the post I was responding to mentioned a particular one. I didn't look any further than that as I wasn't aware it was compulsory.

So :cheeky: right back at ya, s*******e! ;)

Personally i think it has to be a case of...

- Pick a date first
- Pick numbers
- Pick location (more central the better)
- Book house
- Then choose activities :th:

I think I shall do a bit of housework this eve. Split the majority of this thread off to make a new one. Then, for this break, stick up a poll for the date :) ... If we can get that decided, we can move forward on numbers, bookings et al. :)

Because I need to bag as much as I can get of it for the Kent Run on 27th of course.
What is your excuse for not putting your name down btw?
Don't forget that I still have some more pics from JAE I haven't posted yet... Image

I think we are screwed by family commitments Tony - still need to check. Sonic is in no state to be KR-able and we are waiting for rear calipers for F'Anni (not to mention me having time to do).

I have put up a poll on this new topic now, the date spans Friday to Monday though most places will offer a 3 day weekend being Fri-Sun, some may do a Sat-Mon. It's just to get the right date for as many as possible.

4 selections please :)
(sound okay to you Nadia?)

OK, understood. :th:

I will only be able to tick two dates on the poll. If there IS going to be a run, the first 4 weekends listed are too early in the year for any kind of spirited drive imo. The last 2 are too close to the Highland Drive for me. My wallet needs time to recover!

I reckon you need a better calendar mate. ;)
That match is on Saturday 27th, not mid month.
The game on Sunday 14th is against England.

Gazza_DJ wrote:Yorkshire Dales would be an excellent location for this as well - amazing roads, low population density, very picturesque, excellent beer and the home of Wensleydale cheese. Even from the depths of Essex it's only a 4-5hr drive.
Having lived around the Yorkshire area ( Yorkshire born and breed ) the only problem I can see is the large amount of police in the area as its a well known place for bikers and car groups using the roads and it is certainly a NO Tolerance area, If stopped they may go two ways, give the groups a warning or if their having a grumpy day they will go over every car and do you for the smallest thing, then after that the whole of the police force will be watching out for you
So if your thinking of a Spirited drive out you MUST make sure you are totally sober and not do anything stupid, it only takes one person from the group to do something stupid and the group will be watched for the entire weekend
Not trying to put a dampener on the Dales as they really are a beautiful place with amazing places to stop and enjoy some great views, not to forget the great roads its just with it been such a popular place the police are strict and will not tolerate any stupidness, just my 2p worth
