That's great Michael. Did Peter warn you that we're a mad bunch :laughing

Hopefully you'll have a brilliant time :th:

Oh, get yourself a walkie talkie. They are pretty much essential from a safety point of view and it'll keep you in the loop if we have to make a change of plan.
Haha :) Peter did mention something along those lines too... and something about being ready for 'some banter'.. I've been told I'm pretty mad so hopefully I'll fit in :)

@toymr2 thanks Peter... If you have a spare walkie talkie I'd be happy to borrow it... not sure my Fisher Price one still works from 30 years ago ;)

Boughts some Millers Petrol Power Ecomax.

Just pump fuel. Gleaner Super Unleaded is 98RON.
T2 ran quite happily on it throughout my Highland trip last September.
The filling station in Ullapool has it. So does the one at Kyle of Lochalsh.
http://www.gleaner.co.uk/services/filling-stations/

We'll be brimming the tanks at Erskine on the way up.
From there the distances divide up thus.
Erskine to Kyle of Lochalsh: 211 miles.
Kyle of Lochalsh to Uig and return: 142 miles.
Kyle of Lochalsh to Ullapool: 157 miles.
All easily doable: I'll be refuelling at Kyle both ways.

After that Ullapool is our base so no problem.
On the return leg I will be refuelling at the Shell in Inverness
Ullapool to Inverness: 85 miles
The reason being there are no Shell stations in Perth.
The next convenient one is at Queensferry south of the Forth Bridge.
Inverness to Queensferry: 217 miles.

All based on previous experience. :)

Thankyou :) 36l but i carry a couple of jerry cans so it's no problem. They do larger tanks but at £600 quid it's not worth it for one big trip a year.

Yeah, but you don't need Super Unleaded in your plastic pig... :p

Instead of relying on your jerry cans you have these additional options:
Fort William on Thursday.
Kinlochewe on Friday.
Skiach or Contin on Saturday.
Scourie on Sunday (card at pump only).
