MK1a - wheel bearings

Post by HWmk1a »

Hello all,

I have a now slightly care-worn Mk1 I've been using for a few years, but have a problem:

I have an 1986 mk1a car (mostly colour coded but three spoke wheels) that I need one front and one rear wheel bearing for. I don't know if a/b cars are different.
Does anyone know where's a good place to get them?
All the places i've given VIN and reg for (mostly on eBay) say they don't have stock, and the bearings the garage got were too big and they say all their suppliers can't help...the car's still with them semi-dismantled so trying to make sure i can get the right bearings to them but having no luck

Any ideas / info gratefully received,

Cheers,

Harry

TCB list a front wheel bearing kit for £35+VAT and rear for £47+VAT. Toyota may be more expensive, but worth a call to find out.
FYI you'll need access to a press to change MR2 wheel bearings
