Rear Bumper removal
Had a look at the bumper, can't see any obvious way of removal
The haynes manual is about as useful as a chocolate teacup
I have removed the 2 bolts in the boot area, and can see a load of corroded small bolts under the bumper
Can anyone help ?

Re: Rear Bumper removal
The rear bumper is held on with 2 x 10mm nuts in the boot (14mm socket) & 2 x 10mm bolts (14mm socket) under the rear of the boot, they are the rearmost bolts that hold the two exhaust brackets on on either side.
Be careful not th shear them as they go into captive nuts and will be nightmare to remove if broken.
As you have found the Haynes book of lies is waste of space and worse still its misleading as it based on a USA spec car, not a UK car and there are quite a few differences. Download the BGB and UK Electrical diagrams from here https://www.mr2oc.co.uk/download-cats/c ... 0-mk1.html also check the MK1 section of KY2 for info on sill replacement https://www.mr2oc.co.uk/know-your-2/mk1.html
