Re: The MK2 MPG / Fuel Consumption Thread
Might be worth starting a new thread so we can provide advice rather than cluttering up a thread that's supposed to just be mpg recording.

Just got back from a trip to Basingstoke for work. Brimmed the turbo's tanks with V-Power and off I went. mixture of 40-60mph roads, 70mph motorway driving and boost when possible. Even got stuck tonight for an hour in stop start traffic on the A34 :/

You'll have to do more than 3/5 of a tankful to qualify though.

My fuel gauge is errr eccentric! 120 miles before it left full, and I filled up 45 miles from home at a notch under 1/4 (last Shell station for a while). Sometimes I gain fuel according to the gaugeTonyleFrog wrote:You'll have to do more than 3/5 of a tankful to qualify though.
If I go dowm South again soon I'll have a go at beating it!

I don't think that can be compared as Dan refuted my claim of 4mpg in my V6 on a sprint circuit!MRturboTom wrote:Just done 2 tanks at 45 litres a time, 190 miles, 9.5mpg?

Re: The MK2 MPG / Fuel Consumption Thread
M40, Junction 15 is the Warwick/Stratford turn off mate... you can either go East towards Warwick from there, or West towards Stratford... we are only around 5-6 miles down the A46 from junc.15

So you are West then from the M40 J15?chris wrote:M40, Junction 15 is the Warwick/Stratford turn off mate... you can either go East towards Warwick from there, or West towards Stratford... we are only around 5-6 miles down the A46 from junc.15
I go east up towards Balsall Common and up towards Lichfield on the A446 on my route home. M6 is a no go, and some of those roads are boost tastic

Edit - I've just re-read that. It's been a long day and week
