Re: rev 1 Mines ecu question

Post by Olly »

Got a Mines ECU on my rev2 turbo.

With the following mods...
Berk downpipe
Berk exhaust
Berk intercooler
Ct20b turbo
Apexi air filter
Rev3 head gasket etc
... I've hit 243 at the wheels / 288 flywheel, at 14 psi on two separate occasions.

As others have said, get a ct20b or ct26 hybrid on there. These hold boost to the redline which is 8500rpm with the Mines ECU (not that you should take it that high). This means between 5000 and 8000rpm with your boost set at just 12psi you'll be running about 4-6psi more than with your current ct26. This could mean 40bhp more at the top end compared to your current setup.

Also, if you're thinking if getting a decat/downpipe (get the Berk or one with a flexi section - not a solid non-flexi one as these will crack) make sure you do the turbo swap at the same time as they're connected to each other. It'll save you/the garage a lot of time and money compared to doing them on separate occasions.
