I'm in the middle of changing out my suspension.
Doing:
1.Poly Bush install (SuperPro).
2.New suspension components install (brakes/ball joints/links ect).
3.Installing Bilstein B6 Yellow Shocks to replace the tired JDM Bilstein Blacks.
4.HEL Braided Hoses upgrade & clean paint calipers.
So a huge job but since it requires almost everything off this makes sense.
Not much was spent on this car in the past before I got it so all the components are shot, tired and the handling was awful...and I mean awful. Brake pads missing clips and anti-squeal shims so were clunking like hell
I took off my JDM Blacks and the piston takes no effort to be pushed in but takes a long time to return...B6's are used but are firm going up and down so gland I got them just had to paint them.

Issue I have so far is the B6's came assembled with springs but not OEM. Guy told me they are 20mm springs, they used to be yellow...maybe APEX???
Lets talk about the rears as that's all I have off so far.
They came with what looks like OEM top mounts but the cup is not as deep and the studs are shorter compared to the JDM ones.
So here are the springs and top mounts compared.
Springs are obviously different, top mounts are similar...

Question is should I use the the OEM Black springs (which actually look to be in good condition) or the ''lowering'' springs? I wouldn't mind my car being slightly lower but not too much...
I heard somewhere you cant go too low with B6's...is this true?
And would it matter which of these top mounts I should use? Or is the one off the B6's a newer OEM rear top mount?
Just thought I'd double check as I have never worked with shocks. I have a printed guide but can't ask it specific questions!
