New Car, first time MR2

Post by stevefarmer »

Hi Guys

Im looking at getting a I believe a MK2 G-Limited from 1991. This car was imported around 2004. The chap who's selling it has dementia, so his mechanic has done all the work to pass its MOT. Its supposedly rust free, and is running great. However my concern is that it has no service history, the mechanic has gone through it and says its in good condition. It has supposedly had new aluminium cooling pipes, new brakes all round. My only concern is when its timing belt was last changed. I know the engines are non interference, but if I was to buy the car, how much would I expect to pay for it changing. Also what else could or need changing in the engine department whilst the belt is getting down. One last thing, does anyone one any MR2 specialists in west yorkshire?

Thanks
Steve
