Help:No2 Speed sensor location-automatic
Hi guys
anyone knows where the No2 speed sensor is located on an automatic transmission?
I have a #61 error code coming from the automatic transmission. I'd like to see if there is something wrong with the wiring before I take it in for a costly repair.
any help greatly appreciated..

Re: Help:No2 Speed sensor locaton-automatic
No2 speed sensor is on the gearbox (No1 is in the combination meter)
Look here http://www.shinny.co.uk/toyota/MR2_SW_1 ... automatic/
This one has the fault finding info http://www.shinny.co.uk/toyota/MR2_SW_1 ... oubles.pdf and this one refers to No2 speed sensor http://www.shinny.co.uk/toyota/MR2_SW_1 ... nsorro.pdf

Re: Help:No2 Speed sensor location-automatic
Thank you very much for these..
However, they do not show me where the actual sensor is.
I couldn't place it in the actual bay from the diagrams on the .pdfs you posted.
I have a 93 minus the boxy air filter which means I got quite a good view of the top of the transmission box, but I cannot find anything that looks like the sensor.
Does anyone know where it is on the engine?
i.e. top right, bottom left etc ?

I suspect this is it, but its doubtful that its any use in helping you physically locate it
