Looking for some more pops and bangs
I really like how my car gurgles at around 1800rpm and bangs on shifts sometimes and want to know if there is any way to increase this.
Obviously owning a very unique looking mid engine sports car turns heads so I totally reject the notion that the loud exhaust is chavvy. It's in the cars nature.
Its a rev 2 tubby with a straight though exhaust single exit (sheep dog).
I'm running at atmospheric BOV (no its not running lean due to AFM, I have a wideband and monitor it, runs fine).
1.28 bar of boost (metal head gasket and ct20b turbo, also upgraded fuel pump but AFR is great under full boost)
I'm considering BeeR limiter but it's hard to find a genuine one at a reasonable price these days.
Is there any tips and tricks for making the exhaust more crackly?
Thanks!

It doesnt run lean when it vents to atmosphere it runs rich.
All the 12 year olds over here that want more pops and bangs cut the exhaust off with a hacksaw.

Re: Looking for some more pops and bangs
Yeah my bad. I meant running rich. It stays bang on what it should be when I come off the throttle. I checked sparks and they aren't black. Some people have bad experiences with rev 2s and atmospheric BOVs and others are just fine. I will count myself lucky.
I couldn't care less what the 12 year olds think to be honest. I love the sound. It's a sports car, its meant to be loud. If I wanted to drive around fast and quiet I would gave got a golf.
I'm looking for advice not ridicule. Any help is appreciated!
Thanks

Re: Looking for some more pops and bangs
It runs rich momentarily, ECU overcompensates for the excessive rich condition, which then causes it to run lean.
OP, if you want pops and crackles on overrun like modern stuff has after a remap or even from the factory, you need a standalone ECU to "censored" about with the ignition timing to get that effect.
