Hey all,
I’ve been weighing up between the 2GR-FE and the 3SGTE conversation for my Rev5 N/A.
I came to the conclusion that it would be easier to get a tatty turbo car and do that swap because the 2GR-FE is a pretty rare engine in Uk cars.
However the last 3 turbos I’ve shown interest in have been snapped up by buyers from Europe. Has anyone been seeing a lot of this and any idea why?
Any import restrictions to the EU from Japan would surly be the same as uk, maybe they are just worth more in EU or they have less to choose from?
Anyway I’m still looking for a donor turbo so if anyone has a project going or failed mot turbo please give me a PM.

You might find components for 2gr-fe are getting easier to find - it's a current engine and the 3s-gte is old now. Moreover, more UK cars have them in - getting a scrapped rx350 isn't impossible.

While we are still kind of in the EU, it is much easier to import a vehicle from the UK to continental Europe than it is from Japan to say, Germany for example. Also, our prices tend to be lower than rest of world.

Other than Woodsport who are turning work away it seems, is there anyone else in the north or midlands who does the V6 conversation?
