I should have rephrased that.

I’m presuming the Dawes will bypass the TVS as well?

Yep, as above. Rev3+ has an ECU controlled solenoid which gives you that extra 3psi or so. IIRC, it also does things like only give you the full 13psi when engine is warm. I don't know if it does any other kind of condition based limits.

It works in the same way as an aftermarket electronic one. Just a shame it can't be mapped!

Dawes fitted this morning so will see if that bypasses any issues.

Seems to be better but still not as good as the original turbo.

Probably stating the obvious here but would both the EBC and MBC bypass the TVS?

Dawes boost controller fitted and car runs better but i still feel that it’s not getting that nice linear boost delivery it had with the old turbo.

It holds peak boost but it just has the slight hesitation at times and the occasional stutter/over boost.

Something else that’s got me scratching my head, although I’m well aware I’m no expert, is the at the BLITZ EBC in car adjustment display still shows what boost the car is producing despite the hoses being disconnected?!

Coild someone explain how this is possible?

Its could simply be the characteristic of the new turbo. There are several reasons I stuck with the CT26 and modified that into a CT20b. The CT turbo has basically no lag (it starts making boost from 1500rpm) and a very nice power delivery. Unless I was going for a huge Hp build that outstrips the flow its still the best turbo for an almost stock setup. Most people forget that going for more top end boost compromises your midrange boost.

Even though it’s just another CT20?
