It’s a rev 2 with a rev 3 turbo conversion.
Well those are my principles, and if you don't like them... I have others.

Rev2 turbo or non turbo ? Could be ECU capacitors leaking like someone have mentioned, lambda sensor, injectors, coolant temperature sensor or wiring fault. Did you check the fuel pressure while driving?

Fuel pressure wasn’t checked while driving no.
It still feels like a fuelling issue to me actually.

Here is picture of faults and what may causing it. I would try to find someone local with same car and swap a few parts over before spending lots of money.BALDYMONSTER wrote: ↑21/02/21 0:16 Fuel pressure wasn’t checked while driving no.

Re: Misfire, stuttering, pops and bangs?
Looks like the cause of the problem is the timing belt.
Got a belt, tensioner and water pump fitted a couple of months ago but it’s not been done correctly.
Certainly not lined up properly as the dizzy has been majorly advanced to get it to run, next to no tension on it and I reckon it jumped a few teeth when I accelerated hard joining the motorway a few weeks ago.
Whole lot is getting done again, properly this time.

I've found that the best and most accurate way to set the timing and do the timing belt,is to remove rocker cover and set each camshaft cut outs aligned with camshafts carrier caps cuts out or marks.BALDYMONSTER wrote: ↑25/02/21 13:52 Looks like the cause of the problem is the timing belt.

Re: Misfire, stuttering, pops and bangs?
New timing belt and full kit fitted.
Problems solved.
New coil and igniter fitted also, just thought I might as well after plugs leads dizzy cap and rotor arm.
Runs perfectly and pulls like a train.
Full underseal and corrosion treatment/prevention getting done today. Oil and filter, sourcing and fixing water leak that’s gathering in drivers footwell and both front callipers fitted with refurb kits again after this winter.
Car back tomorrow hopefully.
