Fasteners for front bumper lip

Post by adenbakker »

Can anyone inform me how the front bumper lip/splitter (std. rev 3+ model) is attached to the nose, ie what type of fasteners are required. Doesn't look like std. chimney nut will fit as these are not deep enough.
Photo's greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Andrew

The front bumper lip is bolted on with some aluminium brackets they are usually rotten as they have steel captive nuts in which react and slowly turn the ally parts to dust. the bolts are just short m6.
You can buy predone replacements from america but they are a bit expensive
better option is probably try and make some or just use some m6 nuts and bolts with big washers untill another option becomes available.
