You could go with anything for just normal daily driving.

I'm thinking of going for Carbotech AX6 up front and something cheaper but fast road oriented rear. Would be interested to hear of anyone else mixing brands and their experience with it.

For general use, just use the OEM stuff - it works well and doesn't cost the earth. (Don't buy drilled or slotted disks, they tend to corrode and crack faster than normal solid ones).

So I'm going to need new discs as well as pads for the 2gr roadster. Not sure where does the best discs at the best price. Anyone know? I don't want grooved/dimpled. Something standard-ish. Andy

Standard is fine, I use yellow stuff pads for sprinting.

Replacing flexible hoses for braided ones will help to firm up the brakes for not much money.

ECP for Pagid discs and pads seemed the most cost effective solution, with one of their discount codes of course. £185 in total

I currently have braided hoses, plain discs and basic ebc pads which worked very well when all new.

I have some standard plain discs from amazon and ebay and yellowstuff pads for both ends waiting to go on as I want to try out yellowstuff as they mostly get great reviews (this is for road use only).

I'll be changing front pads to carbotechs in near future. Already got braided lines.
