Strangely enough their website does advertise engine conversions, but I'll take your word for it! If I keep it I'll have to get the engine changed, I can't see any other option. I don't really have the space to do the job myself, and I don't think I'd have the confidence anyway.

He’ll do a straight engine swap for you but not a conversion. Knowing Nath (Mrtwos) his website probably hasn’t been updated for 10 years lol

Try Bonsai Garage for a 2zz swap

Rogue are equidistant from Rugby and Leamington Spa.
Around 8 miles south west of the former and the same due east of the latter.
Nearest town is Southam - https://goo.gl/maps/BwoJSY5x2q62

In Weston-super-Mare? Are they still around?
No activity on their Faceache page for over 12 months.
Google is reporting the location as Permanently Closed.
:confused1:

I think Bexhill-on-Sea (Headcase on here) may be a tad too far.

Lol, the website looks the same as it did when I was at uni in Stafford with my first MR2 in 2011 :laughing

Bonsai are closed.

Rogue are expensive (but good I hear).

I was thinking you may be better off getting your engine fixed and then review the 2ZZ idea later. I always think its better to buy one that has been converted (unless you have the skills to do it yourself) and yours would be good to sell on with its replacement or reconditioned motor?

I'll give Nathan a call tomorrow. His garage is only 25mins from me. Hopefully he can cheer me up a bit!

(By fixing the car!)

I've spoken to Nathan at MRTWO and he seems like a top bloke, but as mentioned he's only really interested in fitting another 1ZZ engine. That's fine with me, especially as the cheaper option... But I'd have to source the engine myself and with the luck I'm having at the moment I'd probably end up buying another duff engine.

I've also been offered a donor car with a 2ZZ conversion. If I had the space and the knowhow this would be a great option, but sadly I don't and I'd probably just be adding another headache.

There’s a guy called Dick Sloan on Facebook who breaks mk3’s so he’s probably your best bet for an engine
