A mouse ate my air filter

Post by Tigs99 »

Yes its true. The Mr2 was laid up in the garage over winter and when I first took it out a couple of weeks back It started and turned over but when I took it on the road it stalled when I tried to accelerate. After a number of checks I found a mouses nest in the air filter holder and a bunch of shredded air filter in the air pipe to the engine. I have cleared all that out, but am just wondering if there is anything else I should be considering doing before trying to start it again. I'm wondering what might have happened to any debris that might have got as far as the engine.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Mmmmm one can only hope the mouse didn't try and exit via the exhaust pipe.
