Where else can weight be saved.

Post by ajrfulton »

I am trying to trim another 20kg out of this car.

What weight is in the dashboard?

What weight is in replacing the windows with polycarbonate/lexar?

Is there any other ways that weight can be lost without being silly.

Car is at 935kg just now and is a 2zz, 6 speed competition only. I would love to get this down to 915kg.

Not sure how much you have taken out already or how far you want to go but you can probably save a fair bit by removing the HVAC, loop the lines at the engine and remove all pipework, blower, ducting ect, if it has AC remove the condensor, compressor and pipework.
