Mk3 blackout
Hi all, I’m Gary and new to the site, ok, so, recently bought a 1.8 mk3 W reg with 90000 miles, done a full service and new clutch, been running great then started getting a engine rattle for a couple of days, all of a sudden it just blacked out while driving as if I turned the ignition off, totally died, now when I try start it just clicks?? Any help please?

Unfortunately this sounds very much like a timing chain issue, does the battery have charge and does the engine turn over at all?
Where are you located in the UK, many of the members on here know some great garages who deal with their MR2s?
