Rocker cover gasket replacement.

Post by Almitch1 »

Hello All,

I took my MR2 mk3 into a garage last week for a "visual" health check. There were a few problems identified no of which are too major but will need addressing. The main think was to replace the rocker cover gasket. I was quoted £350 for the job which i thought was a bit steep. I have looked online and the part is £30 and the job its self doesn't seem to much trouble has anyone else here attempted this themselves or had it done at a garage?

Many thanks

 £350 their having a giraffe
FYI
it's a Cam cover, no rockers on an MR2 engine ;)

The first part of this article shows how to remove it, change the gasket and refit the cover
