MK3 - Prescribed area is corroded but not considered excessive

Post by martinj0206 »

Just after some advice please.

I am about to purchase a 2005 MK3 and on the last MOT (28 July 22) there were 2 advisories:

Nearside Rear Inner Suspension component mounting prescribed area is corroded but not considered excessive SILL
Offside Rear Inner Suspension component mounting prescribed area is corroded but not considered excessive SILL

Is this a big/expensive job? I would get it sorted immediately if it wasn't going to be an expensive undertaking.

All advice gratefully received.

Many thanks
