Nope
1) Jam a screwdriver in the keyhole and hot wire it.
2) Compression stocking.
3) So? You're driving a hairdresser's car ffs!
4) Crate of Red Bull
5) It will T-cut out.

You will have to do a LOT better than that pal. :laughing

1) Keys were only an appetiser. Dog ate me next.
2) See above. Remnants of leg not assisted by crude medical device
3) All the more reason to be perfectly coiffured!!
4) Heart attack / diabetic coma
5) With all the hassle above I couldn't drag myself to Halfords in time!

Btw - allocate 22nd September in your diary.

22nd is reserved.

Honestly not sure what to do now. The red one is only insured till Sept 15th on temporary cover, I planned to get rid of the white one (even had a buyer lined up) and swap the policy to the red.

That said, the red is a very very good car and I don't want to abuse it, particularly by ringing its neck against a pack of faster cars. Half tempted to get the red one a garage once the temp cover runs out, have my fun with the white one for a little longer then sell it next year once it has seen me through winter. The red one is on Nankang tyres so I'm not worried if they warp in storage over winter, they're going ASAP in any case.

Hmmm.

If you want a trip out and meet up with other like minded MR2 nuts, to show of your new wheels, what about the joint Essex/Kent meet this coming Saturday.

Congrats on the purchase Al, delighted you have something that is reliable and can only add to your ample driving experience. Looking forward to reading many tales to come.

As for abuse, it has been my experience that the N/A will only reward punishment. I have subjected mine to 7 years of it and last dyno was 168 BHP. Treat it to nice and it will give out to you.

Be mean, and keep her keen :D

I love my N/A and especially when out the the big lumps, they easily hold there own on open roads.

Health to enjoy her.

First wedding anniversary this weekend. Probably shouldn't cancel that for an MR2 meet..

It has been my experience that all MR2s come down with disastrous and insolvable problems as soon as you look at them funny! :p

I did notice on the way out to WIM that the engine felt far more willing than it had yesterday. Bit of exercise and a tank full of V-power has really woken it up. It's still there now, having its geo and balance done. I have the white car back.

It is cured.

It is utterly, mentally, jaw-droppingly brilliant.

Now I have one mother of a decision to make.

Don't mollycoddle it, get it up to 7K as much as possible! Obviously, treat it right with service items, but both of mine, even with their oil weeps and the odd overheating, just smile and keep on giving. Nearly 70,000 miles of virtually trouble free motoring now between those 2 :)

I've taken it a smidge over 6k a good few times now. Think I'll do the service bits before venturing any higher..

If I did that then I'd only be one automatic MR2 away from becoming Kiz!!

Seriously though... That would put our household bills at £645 per year in VED, over £1k in insurance and who knows what in MOTs. That's quite a lot for a couple who commute by train..
