ideally you want 11.0-11.5 once full boost has hit to redline
its what mappers aim for.

youll see this is how Tonys is if he posts his graphs.

one thing to note though, i do think the oem ecu likes standard boost pressures more than raised. those of you will note those running less boost than myself it goes from 14s to 11/12s then steadily richens up to redline which is nice.
mine pretty much goes into 10s, which i can only assume is because the ecu is sensing more boost than stock, so puts more fuel in to keep things safe. which obviously isnt great for power/torque so i havent a huge amount of peak torque over mark as his is runner leaner in that area.

mine does get leaner near top of the revs which you can clearly see follows my hike in hp top end.
it wasnt till i posted did i realise i pretty much have the 295-300hp for a full 1k top end which is pretty nice. similar with yours chris.

obviously knock/det and timing come into play, depending on how the engine is.

torque wise its clear my additional boost means i maintain more torque top end.

Thanks for the explanation mate, really interesting. :th:

Also quite interesting to compare the different specs of the cars and the results from the road due to them. Actually looks like I'm better off changing up when I hit 6k rpm, as power starts to drop off quite alot.

Out of curiosity is there any reason why the power on mine starts to drop off at top end when compared to yours and chris's cars which pretty much are at peak near 7k rpm?

could be anything from the fact your boost is dipping lower and lower higher up the revs so power gets lower.
could be because ecu isnt happy with something top end and is pulling the timming.
something could be restrictive top end, hense the drop. (exhaust/filter?)
could be nothing wrong at all and is just the way the engine behaves.

bare in mind i believe bone stock i think they peak at 6k rpm, so i wouldnt be worried.
that is good power for the mods/boost.

Jinja's was 280bhp but I think he had an aftermarket ECU and one of the smaller pulleys and a bit more psi than 4!

Can't beat the sound of a V6 for the MR2 :clapping:
