In a moment of madness I have volunteered to plan a route from Beaconsfield onwards.

I have in mind lunch at a pub because the Cotswolds has plenty of them which gives us choices. A fast food outlet means going into town (probably either Cirencester or Stroud). If anyone has any strong feelings one way or the other please tell me asap because if we opt for a pub I need to make the necessary arrangements. At the moment I count 21 bums on seats. If anyone is bringing a passenger (who is not listed) I need to know that too.

My gut feeling on timing is that we should be stopping for lunch between 12.30 and 13.00 because with groups coming from all points of the compass I can't see it being practical for them all to converge before 14.30 at the earliest. Time has a habit of running away from you all too easily as Japfest convoy regulars will be well aware!

It doesn't much matter where the 'big meet' point will be at this stage. I can tweak the post lunch route accordingly.
If you're not living life on the edge, you're taking up too much room!

Do your thing TLF.

I would much prefer a proper pub where they serve proper food over anything fast food related.

South East convoys - Cotswolds Multi-Region Mega Meet 15th F

Post by stuMR2lee »

Top man Tony. Got to put your skills & experience to use:).

If we meet at the M40 services for 9am for breakfast and aim to depart by 10am then 2 hours driving should be enough to stop for a light pub lunch between 12 & 1 with the aim of meeting at the final destination for 2pm.
