POSSIBLE SPRING MEETING IN KENT...
Wondering if anyone would be interested in an informal MR2 meeting in mid Kent in April?
I'm a relatively new MR2 owner with a 2006 Mk 3 convertible and would like to arrange something along the lines of meeting up at a pre arranged venue,a short drive and then lunch...
Will look out for any replies and take it from there...

Speak to GreatWhite (Russell) who's one of the Regional Reps for Kent.
I'm sure I can get some of the Essex crew along to if we're invited. We usually have joint meets in the spring/summer months anyway.

True, but the static joint meets we had last year don't quite match the OP's criteria.stuMR2eye wrote:Speak to GreatWhite (Russell) who's one of the Regional Reps for Kent.

- mid Kent
- short drive
- pub lunch
As the regular - or should that be irregular - suspects know, I organise several Kent Runs each year. The usual format is for early birds but I have done some pub lunch runs before for the Sunday stop-in-beds!
I'm happy to include one (or more) of these in the 2015 season. Anyone from Essex is of course welcome. Make sure your passport is up to date and you don't forget to pay the border tax (aka DartCharge)!
In April the only dates I can do are Sunday 12th or 26th. The 5th is the Easter weekend which makes any such run a non-starter imo as there will be far too much traffic particularly if the sun decides to make an appearance.
The 19th is out as I will be 650 miles away driving the best roads the UK has to offer.
If you're not living life on the edge, you're taking up too much room!

Re: POSSIBLE SPRING MEETING IN KENT...
Excellent.
My preference is for the 12th because:
- It will be a curtain raiser for the Highland Drive.
- I will be properly zoned out when I get back...
- The 26th is too close to the Dawn Run season opener in May.
I'll start a separate thread in due course for entries so that I can keep track.
I reckon a max of about 45 miles / 90 minutes is about right for this run.
Haven't been to the pub suggested by Mark. Will check it out.

Re: POSSIBLE SPRING MEETING IN KENT...
I'm getting the engine builder to have a wriggle on this week and get it done before the end of march.. I'm back around the 20th so want it done by then or latest 30th so I can get everything swapped over and ready to go. Fingers crossed it runs..stuMR2eye wrote:Nothing like a challenge eh Tom?parker455 wrote:Ooo the 12th April I might have a running rev3 im excited to debut it
