Bromley Pageant 7th June

Cant do the 7th Cos of Goodwood but If you Guys do the 7th You could probably go on to the Bromley Pageant after Breakfast.

That's pushing it. It would take at least an hour to reach Norman Park.
And that's on a good day without any extra traffic!
ISTR that exhibitors need to be on their pitch before 9am (show opens 09.30).
We were there long before that last year (didn't fancy a Japfest style queue!) .

Bromley Pageant was ace last year! I assume MR2OC is not showing there this year?

Tom organised it, but I think Lancashire is a bit too far away...

Nothing organised for this year atm. Also the deadline for applications has gone by.
Even assuming I could still blag it I would need a guarantee of numbers.
Plus it would mean the run definitely having to be on Sunday 14th.

May I have a copy of the run also please?

Trying to organise a club stand this late in the game could very easily descend into a shambles, not worth it IMO! I might go as a spectator, so if any fellow OC'ers fancy it I may well see you there

I tried to contact the organiser's Club Co-ordinator. She wasn't at her desk. Left a message with her colleague who answered her extension number requesting a call back. Not a peep. If that's the level of service one can expect it doesn't inspire me with confidence.

I might go as a spectator, so if any fellow OC'ers fancy it I may well see you there

Does this mean that you are no longer an 'either' for the date of the run? If so, that would tip the balance towards the 14th.

If you're seriously interested in going and I can get one more person who will commit then I'm prepared to try again tomorrow to find out if we can still get a 3 car display. I will need the following info by PM first though.

Drivers name
e-mail address
Model year of car

If it can be arranged, I just hope the weather is kind. Last year's was great.

I went last year and was a great show, followed TonyLF, Dan and Tom plus a few others lol. Id be happy to go to Bromley pageant and come along with my Dad in his 1994 (iirc) V6 mr2! Agree with you there Tony, an early start was best to avoid any lengthy queuing to get in [emoji106]

No worries mate. If we can get a pitch I would rather pay £5 than the visitor rate (£13.25 in advance or £15 at the gate).

@ Gazza & Julian, see my previous post. I'll need your details PM'd by tomorrow lunch time if I'm going to approach Live Promotions about a 3 car pitch. If 3 more people want in I don't mind trying to blag 2 pitches. There is no guarantee of success but if you don't ask you'll never get.
I'm prepared to front up the cost so if I manage to wing it you guys better not bail on me!

Excellent, hopefully we can squeeze in just in time. I had a look at their stand map a few days ago, it looked like there was a fair few stands left.

Once again, no response, and their office is now closed.
I will give it one more shot tomorrow morning.
If that produces a similar result to the other two I'm throwing in the towel.

The level of customer service so far doesn't inspire me with confidence.
I can visualise securing a plot only to be told at the gate we are not on their map!

I appreciate it's a bit of an ask at this late stage but that's not the point.
Maybe she is trying to tell me not to bother but I would rather she did so directly.

Over on the mr2 mk1 club they are asking for more members on their stand,so may be worth asking if they fancy a few mk2's on the stand with them if you get no joy.
