Re: New Japanese Car & Bike Show Sunday 12th June Essex
The organisers have said we can squeeze another couple of cars in. Some people may not be able to make it on the day for whatever reasons anyway.
So I've gone up to 27 cars.

Re: New Japanese Car & Bike Show Sunday 12th June Essex
From the show organisers:
"As promised, here is a list of helpful information;
Gates open to the event for setup and early arrival for overnight camping at midday on Saturday.
Please ensure if camping that you site your tent sensibly, don’t invade your neighbouring stands, and make sure your tent is down by 8am on Sunday, as it’s a big safety problem driving through occupied tents.
Please drive sensibly on site, anyone behaving in a dangerous manner will be told to leave. No exceptions, there will be children on site, so it’s important.
You are welcome to bring BBQs, just please ensure they are off the grass and extinguished properly once you’ve finished. There are plenty of places to buy food during the show on Sunday, and plenty of places offsite for supplies, I’ll put together a list and add to this page, tomorrow.
We do request, no glass or bonfires on the field, it’s for everyone’s safety.
Gates open on Sunday at 7.30am, please ensure all exhibiting cars are on stands or show field by 9.15am. Our marshals will be on hand to direct you, please assist them, as we anticipate a busy day.
We ask that no cars are to be moved off the show field, unless in an emergency, before 4.30pm.
There is a large Tesco, literally 5 minutes from the venue, with Petrol Station too; here: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Tes ... 4Q_BIIcDAK
Also there is a small Asda, and a Morrison’s superstore, again with Petrol Station, about 10 minutes away.
There are plenty of places to eat in Maldon on Saturday night too, should you fancy it, I’ll get together a list of some of our favourites, and post it tomorrow.
We will be organising a short cruise out and about around the town in the afternoon/evening to further publicise the event to the public, if interested, let me know, either in advance, or find me on site Saturday.
Above all, please have fun!"

So please either meet us at 7.30am as advised previously or at the venue by 9.15am at the latest. Maybe aim for 9am if not joining us for breakfast.

Publicity has ramped up a bit from the organisers so let's hope for good weather and a great day.

Essex Scooby Crew
UK Mk3 Supra Owners Group

IMOC
Pure JDM

GT86 & BRZ Club
Plenty of bikes too, in fact over a 100 so far, around 200 cars already registered, likely to be more on the day, its going to be one busy show!
Keep spreading the word, we have coverage on local radio and press this week, bring your friends, its about having fun and raising money for charity! None of the people responsible for this event are making anything from it, its about raising money to keep the museum running and also to make some much needed cash for Farleigh Hospice. These causes are where public admission money goes to, so please make sure you tell your friends and lets make this a hugely busy day!"

Just a few hours to go now.
No individual tickets required. I have a group ticket for up to 25 cars. Free entry for those on the list for the show stand.
You need to be at the venue by 9am unless you are meeting us at 7.30am for convoy/breakfast at the location advised by PM. Leaving this location by 7.50am. Cafe at the Museum of Power opens at 8.00am.

Great turnout with over 20 cars on our stand. Weather is very disappointing though.

Cheers for organising!
It was a good day despite the weather, should be a good one to add to the calendar for years to come.

The support was brilliant on the day. Thanks everyone who made the effort.
Cars were all looking fantastic. Huge shame the weather kept the public away.
It's likely it will be an annual event by the looks of it.
The model village was 'interesting'.

We came along for a nose, as you say the weather was pretty poor
If the weather had been better I think there would have been a much bigger turn out
Had a nice chat with the chap with the Red Mk1 V6.... sorry we didn't get your name

Re: New Japanese Car & Bike Show Sunday 12th June Essex
Nice to meet some new faces!
i enjoyed it, and have to say, is the only Japanese car show ive been to that ACTUALLY had a Japanese theme!
Japanese food and Japanese culture (dancing/martial arts display).
There was room for more cars, but i guess people decided last minute not to come because of the weather as the park was only 2/3 full.
I didnt get any snaps of any other cars, as by the time the rain stopped, it was mainly only MR2s left!
So thats what i snapped.

Re: New Japanese Car & Bike Show Sunday 12th June Essex
Thanks Jim. Great pictures.
They certainly tried to go with the Japanese theme which was good to see. I regretted not trying the Japanese food now as it looked really good.
If we'd known that less cars were going turned up we could have spread out a bit for better photo opportunities. We also arrived before the photographer so missed the entrance photos!
Here's to better weather next time and more visitors.
