Translation - there's a kent run on that you fancy, is there a wedding you can justify the mileage with ?MRturboTom wrote:Brief Kent visit, ties in with a wedding reception on the Saturday
My car's been frozen for best part of 2 weeks by autoglass, now resolved - I didn't want to say yes until I knew that was sorted. I am pretty sure I will be along - put me down and I will let you know if i have to back out.TonyleFrog wrote:It means he's an attendee* whereas you don't appear to be atm: what's your excuse?

Would this be a bad point to mention my parents live in Stowmarket and have a large garden/wood suitable for camping? And wouldn't have a problem with me offering it out as a campsite because I've done it before

Depends if you mind an 80 minute journey just to reach the Kent border.
Plus another 20-30 minutes to get to the start (depending on where it will be).

Won't be too bad from the Alan, assuming it's one of Tony's regular starting points.
You should be getting across the bridge just before they charge as well.

That's handy. I've sent Vinny a PM with where to meet me for a convoy.alanwheeldon wrote:We have booked the Travelodge in Thurrock so I hope that is close to the start
As for the start location that depends on how you define 'close to'.
Btw, are you and Ria bringing both cars or just one?
Yep.Gazza_DJ wrote:You should be getting across the bridge just before they charge as well.
Remind me again what your excuse is for your absence from the list...

Re: Kent Run Round 2 - Sunday 8th May
Will let you know after this weekend - need to sort out some bits on mine. Main one is the O2 sensor. To be fair, it would probably be fine on the kent run as the engine behaves itself at full throttle as it's in open loop then It's really not liking partial throttle at all. I don't think the track time at Silverstone at Japfest helped
Fortunately Rev4/5 NA O2 sensors are a simple threaded type and much more accessible than the previous ones.

This is shaping up to be the biggest attendance since this little get together.
