Not too fond of the idea of "lurking" on a roundabout (or where you'd suggest I wait on/near it), so I'll probably try and hit J9 a few minutes before you and pootle up at 60 and let you catch me up, hoping that I haven't missed you. If I don't see another '2 before J10 I'll head on up and meet you guys at Silverstone.

Fair enough. I was thinking of the grass verge of the B430 here. Minimal risk and not impeding anyone.

No mate, I was just using it as a convenient reference point to get in touch. We'll be at J9 about 10 minutes after that and J10 a tad over 15. Otoh, if you/anyone in our convoy has an app such as Glympse enabled on their phone that will do the trick. You'll then be able to track us whenever you want. Google Maps also has a location sharing option in the menu - https://support.google.com/maps/answer/ ... roid&hl=en

I would rather not stop en route as, timewise, we're likely to be running later than the main group from Tesco.

Ah, gotcha, nae probs There's another chap on IMOC who's local (Migou), but he's heading up to the main meetup at Towcester Tesco beforehand, so I might head up in a local convoy, rather than trying to judge an on-the-fly meetup, and risk mistiming things. Still, if you see an SMG Rev1, give it a wave and if it tags on, it's me :P I'll see you all at Silverstone for definite anyway

Edit: Also all depends on what time my housemate deems "too early" to be heading out XD

Turns out the housemate isn't too eager for an earlier start to convoy up with Migou to the Tesco pre-meet, so it's back to Plan A, will try and time my entry to the M40 shortly before a quarter past 8. Would appreciate it if you can adjust speed accordingly up to J9 so you arrive there just after 8:15, but understandable if it's not feasible. Either way, hope to see you en-route (presume I'm looking out for a convoy of 5, unknown mks.), or failing that at Silverstone

My Rev 5 is fairly well known on here.
IIRC we've met before. Cherwell Sevices prior to the Silverstone Track taster in Oct 13.
I think you may have been at one of the Cotswold mega meets as well.

Look out for 4 Mk2s & 1 Mk3.
As I said, if you PM me your contact number I can text you as we're approaching Oxford services.
You'll then be able to work out from that when we'll be at J9.
Google Maps gives an ETA of 08.15 there so it should pan out OK.
