My solo Wales 'event'
Took the tubby out on Saturday through some rather pretty Welsh mountains.
Hope the video captures the essence of it all. It was a great drive out.

Nice video.
I bet the roads are'nt that quite in the summer when non of that snow is on the road!
I crossed over a bit of snow/ice the other day that was in the tramlines and felt the car slide. Glad i wasnt on a mountainside at the time!

There was one very very scary point near Rhayader where the single track road was just sheet ice. No turning back, just had to go for it-carefully!
Thanks for the compliment on the video btw.

Great vid. I'm originally from mid-wales and have driven my old tubby around there many times. As you said on your youtube description "utterly staggering". I agree!

Thanks.Kellys2 wrote:That is one amazing vid
I should have sped the video up a bit and adjusted the angle in the editing program so the lamposts and trees didn't look lopsided! Other than that I quite like it too.
There's a couple more MR2 driving vids on my youtube channel, another in Wales and one filmed in Derbyshire.

Looking forward to watching this when I get home later
Might pick your brains on some routes as myself and spanky are planning to arrange a long weekend Wales roadtrip, much in the vein of the Highland drive, next year

It looks smooth because I sped it up in the editing prog for the first couple of songs. Just enough to be subtle. The song is by The Eels, Beautiful Day.Snulty wrote:Brilliant!!! Those roads look amazing & look smooth aswell? What song is that @ 5:30?
The roads are amazing with no F speed cameras anywhere, just pure driving pleasure like it ought to be everywhere.
