hi there guys been thinking about a computer for me car for a while now.... basically what i want is a full media package also with some nice gauges etc like r35 gtrs....

Features and spec must include

fairly large hd
quite quick for loading etc (im not sure how much ram etc is enough for all of this maybe 1gb?)
gps with software
internet (i have a dongle)
Radio
Iphone playback
media player inc dvd and avi already on hd
reverse cam accepted ( more than one if it is able planning on a really low splitter for the front lol)
gauges & software direct from engine i want on 1 screen, oil pres, oil temp, fuel pres
and then on second screen engine rpm, speed, water temp, fuel level and boost ( the same as standard dials) and all of this customizable

the problem being i believe you need obd2 for the gauges ??? and as far as im aware this only came with rev3+ cars, i am planning on doing a rev3 conversion so in the future it would be nice but i would love to have it sooner?? i dont want much i know :cheeky:

any ideas guys?
cheers in advance
lloyd

Have a look on http://www.mp3car.com. The have a newbie guide on there. As for OBD-II, the mk2 only has OBD1, so you would have to use something like on http://www.chetcodigital.com/vGauge/vDash.htm

ah wicked thanks for the link, is there anyway to upgrade to obd2? or atleast replicate it some how, that gauge thing looks a little dated if you get me and i would prefer something like http://store.mp3car.com/PhotoGallery.as ... ode=SOF-DC <<<< that cheers lloyd :th:
