Highland drive 2013 routes

Post by MartinR »

I think we trust you guys enough :th:
After all, you've already shown us some of the best roads Britain has to offer.

I think applecross is more of a tradition now too, lol.
2 Highland Drives, 1 Full JAE, 1 Part JAE, 1 France Trip, 1 North Wales Run, 2 Dyno days, 3 Karting Events, 1 Scotland Meet, countless Yorkshire Meets and even more Northwest Meets later... Im MR2-less, for now!

Love the Saturday route :th:
That little road on the North of Skye is brilliant :clapping:

I drove the A582 a few weeks ago from Lairg out to the West Coast ... it was lovely ;)

Lairg is in Zone 8.

Which way did you go - A838 to Laxford Bridge or A839/A837 to Lochinver?
If you're not living life on the edge, you're taking up too much room!

Sorry, it was the A838, nice sweeping road with lovely views.
The surface is in good condition and was relatively quiet.

Also did this route ... you get nice views over the Summer Isles in places.

All 35 miles of it. :th:
With no traffic you can get a real wriggle on despite it being single track. :th:

On the subject of route suggestions

On Saturday how about doing the return leg from Skye this way?
Then across to Glenelg and over the Mam Ratagan pass to Shiel Bridge.
If the weather is kind the views of the 5 Sisters of Kintail are stunning.

On Sunday perhaps take Nic's route to Lochinver instead of the A837?
